The Dancer
By Victoria Phillips

Round and round the silver light spins.
Reflecting off the faceless grins.
The words they speak will forever bleed,
And this warning is one you should heed.

The nails they scrape so deep and hard,
Tearing the skin into sheets like a card.
Blood running so smooth and thick,
Enough is there to make most sick.

Flesh, it dangles in little strips,
As the dancer begins to sway her hips.
Feeling the rhythm along with the beat,
While blood runs down, she will shuffle her feet.

Her mood begins to shift way too violent.
The tears that pour down do oh so silent.
Skin still hanging from bloodied fingers,
And the voices in her head begin to set off ringers.

These voices begin to chant;
    " We see all,
             We hear most,
                    We control you,
                           We continue to boast."

She sways on the spot,
And the back of her throat gets hot.
The itching of the drying blood,
Sticks to her like a thick mud.

She sinks to the floor, like a leaf.
Waiting to simply be slaughtered, like a side of beef.
The flowing blue of her dress creates a moat,
But where shes going, she won't need a boat.

When she sinks she begins to gasp.
Poison so sweet, from the cruel asp.
Her body and voice begins to tremble.
Soul so pure, her evil couldn't even fill a thimble.

So young is our dancer,
Yet she never knew the answer.
Her quest for her true self.
Things she needed sat right on a shelf.

Swaying her hips, singing in time,
Never again will she do anything louder than a mime.
Forever in silence she will be,
And dancing in Hell is the only way you could see.

Second stanza, third line: I think that "runnng" need an "i" :aww:

Except of this... Beautiful  Really touchy, and expressive. A good job!
